Vermont History Day is a yearly, statewide competition for students in grades 5 through 12. Students present a variety of history projects relating to a theme. This year’s theme was “Rights and Responsibilities in History.” The annual event was held on Saturday, April 5 in Barre. Above: Homeschooler Kali Adams, a seventh grader, won first place in the Junior Individual Website Division for her website “Myra Bradwell: Law Relating to Women.” Adams’ website also won the Deborah Pickman Clifford Women’s History Award for an outstanding entry, highlighting a Vermont woman who made history.
