Shelburne student qualifies for National Bowling Tournament

Tyler Richards of Shelburne competed in the 2014 Vermont Pepsi Youth Bowling Championships at Spare Times in Colchester on May 4. His finish qualified the Champlain Valley Union (CVU) junior to compete for a spot on the USA youth bowling team against students from all over the United States July 13-19 in Buffalo, N.Y.

Richards will host two fundraisers to raise the funds necessary to compete in the North Pointe Junior Gold National Youth Bowling Tournament. A car wash is scheduled for this Saturday, June 7 at the Chimney Sweep Fireplace Shop, 3113 Shelburne Road in Shelburne from 10am-3pm. Community members are urged to stop by and support this worthy cause.

A spaghetti dinner is planned for Saturday, June 28 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the North Ferrisburgh Methodist Church on Hollow Road. Tickets for the dinner that includes spaghetti, salad, rolls, beverages, and cake will be $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under.
