In a ceremony marked by song and poetry, 25 eighth graders, 12 of them from Shelburne, graduated from the Lake Champlain Waldorf School on Thursday, June 5.
In his remarks, Mr. Gregory Foster, who taught the graduates for all eight years of their grade school experience, urged the students to remember the three questions that he has been posing to the class over the years: Do you know how to be still? Do you know how to resonate with the teachers who appear in your life? Do you know how to love learning?
Three quarters of the graduates will attend the Lake Champlain Waldorf High School which will open a new campus in Shelburne this fall. The remaining students have enrolled in their town high schools or in schools out of state.
