Shelburne families enjoy this year’s Back to the Beach Night last Tuesday in Shelburne.

According to Shelburne Parks and Recreation Department’s Director Betsy Cieplicki this year’s Back to the Beach Night was one of the largest on record. Hundreds of community members attended the annual event to enjoy near perfect weather, fine food, and social time with their neighbors last Tuesday night at Shelburne Beach. During the event, a raffle was held to benefit the Davis Park Playground fund which raised $314. Raffle winners were: Third prize winner Kristen Ellwood won a dinner at Shelburne Beach catered by the Parks & Recreation Committee; second prize, a $50 Gift Certificate to Leunigs was awarded to Alan and Christina Chant, and first prize, a lifetime Shelburne Beach pass, was won by Kit Antinozzi.

The Recreation Department would like to thank Associates in Orthodontics and Shelburne Supermarket for their sponsorship. Also, special thanks to the Bissonnette’s from the Dutch Mill Restaurant for grilling, Officer Aaron Noble for working the radar gun at the softball throw, and the Recreation Committee for its help and hard work to make this a special night for the whole community.
