Special Olympics Vermont welcomes younger athletes

People with intellectual disabilities gain confidence, develop socially, and showcase talent in an environment of inclusion and acceptance through the Special Olympics. This opportunity is now available to children ages 2-7 through Special Olympics VT’s Young Athletes Program. The program focuses on social, cognitive, and physical development and showcases the abilities of children with disabilities. Developed by specialists, the program is proven to accelerate the development of children with and without disabilities and prepares athletes before they can compete in the Special Olympics at age eight.
