The Davis Park Neighborhood Association enjoyed its first annual potluck dinner Friday, Sept. 5, on an unusually summer-like evening. Residents had an opportunity both to reconnect with old friends and to meet new neighbors. The dinner was followed by a brief meeting to review the primary mission of the new neighborhood association: to build community. Plans were discussed to host a fall bonfire, hold a family soccer night, organize a community service day, and create a neighborhood directory, which will include services and materials that neighbors can share. And all who attended appreciated David Kerr’s Eagle Scout project, the pavilion provided welcome shade.
