Shelburne’s Garlieb launches book

DSC_1040-Malisa-GarliebShelburne poet Malisa Garlieb, above, launched her debut collection, “Handing Out Applies in Eden,” at the Karma Bird House last Thursday evening, Sept. 18, in Burlington. Weaving story, movement, and the arts into academic lessons, Garlieb currently teaches elementary grades, from the alphabet to algebra, at the Lake Champlain Waldorf School in town. Her poems have appeared in Painted Bride Quarterly, Calyx, So to Speak, Off the Coast, and Compass Rose, among other journals and anthologies.
