Joanne Wolfe, MA, MEd.

Last month Joanne Wolfe, MA, MEd. opened a new psychotherapy practice in Shelburne. After 12 years at Fletcher Allen Health Care University Pediatrics, Wolfe, a Charlotte resident, is excited to have a practice of her own. “I chose Shelburne for its location, charm, community services, and nice people,” she informed.

As a clinical psychologist, Wolfe developed a special interest and expertise in working with older children, adolescents, and families. Much of her clinical focus has been related to providing treatment for anxiety, OCD, mood issues, and family discord.

Wolfe has planned a workshop aimed at helping parents and caregivers learn how to better understand and respond to common problems associated with childhood anxiety. The workshop, “Parenting the Anxious Child—Strategies for Helping Parents and Caregivers,” will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 3-5pm at Yoga Roots in Shelburne.

Prior to working at University Pediatrics, Wolfe was a Program Coordinator at NFI Hospital Diversion Program in South Burlington.

Her practice is located at 928 Falls Road in Shelburne. For more information please call (802) 598-9967. To register for the workshop please call 985-0090 or visit www.yogarootsvt.com.
