At the polls, Election Day turnout not too shabby

Shelburne Town Offices weren’t exactly buzzing, but most definitely not empty. The flow of voters picked up around 8am, presumably as 9-5ers stopped in on their way to work. Results will be published Wednesday online and Thursday in the Shelburne News.

Above, Democratic Rep. Joan Lenes (far right) stands with Chris Kent and Rep. Kate Webb outside the Shelburne Town Offices on Tuesday morning. Lenes is up for re-election to the Vermont Legislature. She has voted in favor of:  H 112, the GMO labeling law; S 77, prohibiting liability for the prescription of lethal doses to patients making end of life choices; and H 464, prohibiting hydraulic fracturing. Lenes voted against H 200, decriminalizing marijuana.
