A great crowd, 335 cars at final count, enjoyed WinterFest at Shelburne Farms last Saturday. The weather cooperated and the temperature was just right for horse drawn wagon rides with Pat Palmer and his Percherons and Kathy Wells and her Shires. There was just enough snow for sledding on the hill behind the Farm Barn. While inside the Farm Barn the Shelburne Parks & Rec crew helped youngsters make popcorn balls, the 4-H Explorers had a table full of treats, and Outreach for Earth Stewardship had a handsome Kestrel to show off that attracted many visitors.
