Paul Bohne comes out of retirement again

There’s no rest for the weary. After a six-month stint as interim general manager of the Chittenden County Transportation Authority, Paul Bohne is employed again. Recently hired as the interim Town Manager for Milton, Bohne began his official tenure on Thursday, Jan. 29. He is expected to hold the position until June when he will lead the effort to find his replacement.

Correction

Thomas T. Bessette, a Shelburne resident who is running unopposed for the 3-year term on the Champlain Water District, was inadvertently left off the list of those running for elected town office in last week’s issue of the Shelburne News.

We apologize for the error.

Calling all 5-year-olds from Shelburne: Kindergarten awaits

The Shelburne Community School (SCS) is attempting to locate all children who might be eligible for kindergarten for the 2015-2016 school year. If you have a child who will turn five before Sept. 1 of this year, be sure to call Patty Spagnolo at (802) 383-1119 to pre-register him or her.

Also, if you have a child who will be entering the first grade at SCS but is not currently enrolled, please call Patty Spagnolo.

The school will place your child’s name on their mailing list to receive the registration packet at the end of March, as well as future mailings about orientation events for incoming kindergarten and first graders.
