Local businesses support Shelburne Veterans Memorial Fund

DSC_0171-BestBrad Fortier of Co-operative Insurance Company of Middlebury and Terrell Titus of the Shelburne-based Titus Insurance Agency have each approved a $1,000 grant payable to the Shelburne Veterans Memorial Fund. The grants totaling $2,000 will be used to support the creation of a Veteran’s Memorial on the Parade Ground in Shelburne.

Titus and Annette Hannah of Titus Insurance Agency were on hand to present the grant funds to Shelburne veterans at their regular monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 23. “We are proud that we can support such an amazing project that will touch so many in our community,” the pair shared.

“Groups like Shelburne Veterans Memorial Fund are meeting the needs in the same communities that Co-operative Insurance serves,” stated Fortier, Co-op’s Executive Vice President. “We think it’s important to do our part as neighbors to help them out, and this grant program is one more way we can do that. We’re proud to support their efforts.”

The Shelburne veterans were one of nine to received community grants from Co-operative Insurance Companies in 2015.
