Cash the dog is alive and well
In a letter to the editor written by Jennifer Henley of Canton, Ohio, in the Sept. 17 edition of Shelburne News, Cpl. Aaron Noble was named as the officer Henley talked to about alleged animal abuse at Shelburne Campground. In fact, Noble was not on duty that day.
Chief James Warden followed up on that call and found the seven-year-old canine in question, named Cash, to be alive and well. No laws were broken and there was no sign of abuse, Warden said.
The owner of the dog said they appreciated that people were concerned about the pet and were pleased that Warden followed up on the call.
