Dear Shelburne residents,
It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve the citizens of our town as a member of the Planning Commission for the last seven years. I have been extremely fortunate to serve with such a dedicated group of individuals who I truly believe always had the best interests of the town at heart. I hope that the commission and the town realizes that my priority as chair was dealing with the myriad planning issues facing our town in a timely manner while also being respectful of every position. My decision to leave is made easier by the fact that I believe our new chair, Jaime Heins has the intelligence, commitment and experience to take to the commission forward in a meaningful manner and I can only ask he be treated him with the same respect in which you have treated me. I want to thank the Selectboard, our past Town Manager, Paul Bohne, and our current Town Manager, Joe Colangelo for the many years of support and encouragement. I would in particular like to thank the town’s Director of Planning and Zoning, Dean Pierce. The good work we accomplished would not have been possible without his tireless effort and commitment.
It has been a privilege serving Shelburne and I would encourage every citizen to consider getting involved and volunteering their time and energies towards the betterment of our town. We are truly fortunate to live in such a wonderful community full of committed individuals and we all have a role we can play in seeing that continue. We are all in this together. Thank you.
