Friends with Words–and Music: A benefit show celebrating the power and comedy of stories

Are you ready for an evening out filled with true tales, live music, and belly laughs? If so, join award-winning comedic storytellers Sue Schmidt, Kevin Gallagher, and Bobby Stoddard as they step onstage Friday, May 20 at 7pm at the Shelburne Town Hall to share true stories of hilarity and heartbreak. They are joined by local band The Brevity Thing, with musicians Dave Ball (guitar, harp), Jon Hammack (mandolin), Steve Goldman (upright bass), and multi-talented storyteller Sue Schmidt playing drums.

Proceeds from the show benefit Voices of Vermonters Publishing Group, a local nonprofit literary arts organization, which includes Wind Ridge Books and the Writers’ Barn, where good stories are discovered, written, and shared in print with readers. This fundraising event is sponsored by Say it Forward Productions, a collaboration between comedic storytellers and nonprofit organizations.
