After almost thirty-four years of serving the residents of the Town of Shelburne as your town clerk, it is time for me to move on.

I honestly hate to leave but I told myself long ago that if I ever reached the point where I did not feel that I could serve the people who elect me with 100% commitment, it would be time to retire. My recurring bouts with chronic Lyme disease and my medical support team’s advice for more rest and less stress in my life helped me make my decision.

I have had an amazing journey with many changes along the way. I have moved my office three times, worked with five town managers, several assistants, and a multitude of town support staff, along with past and present boards who have helped make Shelburne the special community it is. My last day of work as town clerk will be October 10, 2016. The Selectboard will advertise the position, interview applicants and appoint a Town Clerk who can then run for elected office in March 2017. I am staying on as the town treasurer for the interim.

I truly appreciate the support I have been given through the years. I have been so blessed. Thanks for all the wonderful memories I will carry with me.
