The Shelburne Community School has two mentoring programs, and both programs are actively recruiting new mentors right now. Mentors are community members who love kids, who would enjoy volunteering in the school, and have one hour per week to give to a child. Our programs provide training, on-going support, space to meet, and loads of activities to do with your student.

Everybody Wins! (EW!) is a literacy-based program that matches elementary students with a mentor during lunch each week. EW! is coordinated by Diane Tanis, dainetanis@comcast.net.

Connecting Youth (CY) Mentoring program is for 5th-8th students and meets at a time during the school day that works best for the mentor and the student. CY Mentoring is coordinated by Alice Brown, abrown@cssu.org.

If you are interested in learning more about these programs, please contact the coordinators.
