We are very grateful for the recent food and financial contributions from the Halloween parade and from Election Day that have come from many quarters in town. Food contributions have come from countless households, as well as from school classes, from a young child’s birthday party, from local churches, and drop-offs in our green bins in town, to name a few. Many times, we simply don’t know who has donated food but discover these additions to our shelves. Very helpful to us has been attention to our “current needs”, which also includes items with which we are now well-supplied. That list can be found on our website at: shelburnefoodshelf.org/current-needs.html
Further, the financial donations received recently are truly appreciated. That so many residents took time to drop money or checks into our donation jar on Election Day was heartening. The Board, our volunteers and certainly those who access our shelves (!) much appreciate the many gestures of support.
