Family-owned Danform Shoes teamed up with Naot footwear to donate nearly $15,000 in footwear to Dress for Success Burlington.

In addition to the footwear from Naot, Danform held a handbag exchange during November and collected over 65 bags and wallets – many of them donated by customers to Danform’s Shelburne store. Dress for Success Burlington is a local non-profit that helps women prepare for successful reentry into the workforce.

“We are thrilled that once again we were able to partner with a top brand and give back to the local community. This is the third year we have partnered with Naot, one of the leading comfort footwear brands in the market,” said Dave Bailey, owner of Danform Shoes. “As a locally owned business since 1978, Danform has always believed that Vermont is about community. Anything we can do to help, we try to do,” Bailey added.

“Our customers also participate by donating beautiful wallets and purses through our Handbag Exchange, which after two successful years, we decided to make an annual tradition. It makes all of us at Danform Shoes so proud to be part of this great community,” said Stephanie Bertoni, Danform Shoes Marketing Director. “We know, and our customers know, that through our friends at Dress for Success Burlington, these shoes and bags will make a real difference in women’s lives,” Bertoni added.

In fact, Bertoni noted that many customers came into the Shelburne store to thank the staff for doing the event for the third year, with one customer even bringing in flowers to say thank you to the Shelburne store.
