On Friday, March 17, the Buccaneers Youth Football team enjoyed a special treat. They got to played a pickup game during the new Vermont Bucks halftime show at UVM’s Patrick Gym. The Vermont Bucks are the state’s first ever arena football team. The excitement was electric when the boys smashed through the Buccaneers sign and entered the field. They went on to show their skills with great examples of completed passes, interceptions, flag pulling, and of course, touchdowns!

Presently, CVU Head Coach Mike Williams and his players have teamed up with the Buccaneers for free flag football on Sundays, 3:30 to 5pm, in March and April. This allows participants an indoor space to learn the fundamentals of football.

On April 1, registration opens for the Buccaneers’ 2017 fall season. For more information on the NVYFL 2016 State Champion Buccaneers and registration, please go to www.buccaneersfootballvt.org and www.facebook.com/CSSUBuccaneersYouthFootball.
