The Snelling Center for Government announced that Bonnie Birdsall and Sara Raabe of Shelburne have been accepted into its Vermont School Leadership Project’s class of 2018.
Raabe is currently the principal at JFK Elementary School in Winooski and Birdsall is the digital learning leader at Williston Schools in Williston.
They join 24 other educators from across the state in the program that offers intensive professional development for superintendents, principals, curriculum and special education directors, and other education professionals who have proven leadership abilities.
The group began meeting in July and will continue meeting regularly over the next 13 months for a total of seven sessions over 17 days at Lake Morey Resort. In the second year of the program, participants will incorporate what they learn within their schools.
This is the 13th class in the program, which began in 1995 by the Snelling Center, a non-partisan, nonprofit organization that fosters civic leadership, public service, and citizen participation in public policy in Vermont.
