Sept. 23, 1:16 a.m., theft on Brentwood Drive; three passengers in a taxi took off without paying. The officer was unable to find the three; the case is under investigation.
Sept. 23, 8:08 a.m., medical emergency at The Terraces; patient refused transport to hospital.
Sept. 23, 8:22 a.m., two-car accident at Harbor Road and School Street. Shelburne Police, Fire and Rescue responded. Police said a vehicle operated by Judith Poulin of Shelburne made a right turn on to School Street from Harbor Road and struck a vehicle driven by Robert Lavalette of Shelburne, which was stopped at the stop sign. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and their injuries were not life-threatening. One was transported to UVM Medical Center. Police said neither alcohol nor speed appeared to play a factor in the collision. No criminal charges were filed.
Sept. 23, 8:53 a.m., Sycamore resident reported finding a plastic bag on his lawn with a white powder inside. Shelburne police determined the substance was table salt.
Sept. 23, 9:48 a.m., medical call at Clearwater Circle, patient taken to hospital.
Sept. 23, 10:13 a.m., retail theft on Executive Drive. Officer unable to find the thief; investigation underway.
Sept. 23, 10:47 a.m., retail theft on Executive Drive. Shelburne police found the suspect; she was issued a trespass notice and released.
Sept. 23, 2:12 p.m., one-car accident at Dorset Street and Shelburne Hinesburg Road; no injuries.

Sept. 24, 7:46 p.m., possible domestic disturbance inside a moving vehicle near Falls and Marsett roads; police unable to locate the vehicle.
Sept. 24, 9:55 p.m., driver accused of driving under the influence at Bostwick and Shelburne roads near the entrance to Shelburne Museum. Police charged Danielle Cook, 43, of Colchester, with driving while intoxicated. She was to appear in Vermont District Court, Criminal Division, Oct. 12.
Sept. 25, 2:14 a.m., Woodbine Road resident says neighbor’s dog has been barking constantly. Police talked with the dog owner.

Sept. 26, 6:49 a.m., multiple cows in the road at Bay Road and Harbor Road. The cows were rounded up by the owner.

Sept. 29, 3:38 a.m., police found an abandoned vehicle on side of Pond Road. roadway. They couldn’t contact the owner, so the vehicle was towed away.
Sept. 29, 4:05 a.m., unlocked door at Kwiniaska Driving Range at 5353 Spear St.; officers searched and secured the building.
Sept. 29, 4:53 a.m., speed and traffic safety patrol at Spear Street and Webster Road.

An officer directed her to speak to management about the hole in the floor, but police can’t force a restaurant to provide service to anyone.
Sept. 29, 4:13 p.m., loud music from a neighbor’s apartment on Toad Lane. An officer checked the area, but was unable to hear any loud music.
Sept. 29, 4:26 p.m., at a relative’s request, police checked on a family member at Harbor Place. The person appeared to be fine.
