Paper should report government work beyond conflicts — Marz Qubti, MD

I read with great sadness your article on the front page of the Shelburne News from the Oct. 26 edition.

This conflict between the Selectboard members on one side, the town manager, and the fire chief on the other side has been going on for the past couple of weeks now and, frankly, it is making me wonder where our tax money is going.

I have not attended any of these town meetings and have no interest in doing so but it will be nice if every now and then the Shelburne News can actually report on actual work the Selectboard and the town manager are doing for the town (if such work is actually getting done).

I have frequently wondered what Washington is doing under the Trump administration’s defunct administration. It is really sad to see this happening in my own hometown.

All sides should remember that the last I checked we were all working for Shelburne.
