Transparency deficiencies—Vinny DeToma Shelburne

As I continue to witness and experience organizations who are ruled by committees, private agendas, and lack of civility toward one another, I continue to be amazed at the lack of transparency.

From what I’ve been reading it sounds the same with the Shelburne Selectboard, the Water and Sewer Department, the “friends” of Pierson Library all the way up to the attorney general’s office of the State of Vermont.

It is obvious that the Selectboard is out of control and needs to be replaced in March.
The water and sewer department can’t figure out if 100 gallons of waste was inadvertently spilled into the La Platte River or 10 times that amount. Glad they’re the ones who tell me how much I have to pay for my water bill.

The “friends” of Pierson Library hold a vote where it is the only item on the ballot (geez, I wonder which way that vote will go?).

Even the State of Vermont will not be transparent and truthful about what happened in the EB-5 program and don’t want to be held responsible.

The lack of transparency in these organizations and committees is amazing.
Didn’t Shelburne just spend millions of dollars for the town center with premium Bose speakers in the ceilings?

Now they want another $6 million for a library? That’s two-thirds of what they spent on the children of Shelburne and the school upgrades.

I urge you to vote NO on the library bond on the ballot and bring honesty back into our lives and not fill it with so much mendacity, please!!!!
