Local business and local library explore ways to work together

Shelburne Business and Professional Association members are invited to a meeting at Pierson Public Library on Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the many ways the new and improved library building will be a valuable asset to local businesses.

Shelburne voters recently approved a $6.5 million bond to construct a new library next year on the site of the current library. The project will also renovate the historic Town Hall building and make improvements to the municipal campus for traffic flow and safety. Work is expected to begin in the spring and take a year to complete.

The library has expressed interest in having local businesspeople lead informational group discussions on issues of interest to businesses, and in the new facility there will be even more opportunities for cooperation. This meeting is a chance to share ideas and for potential new members to learn about SBPA.
