The new Quint firetruck was put into action in the early hours of Jan. 27 when Shelburne Volunteer Fire Department was called to a chimney fire at a home on Greenbush Road in Charlotte. The rig’s long reach, combined with a new chimney scrubber device, helped get the job done quickly and safely. Shelburne Fire and Rescue assisted fire and rescue crews from Charlotte and Ferrisburgh at the call. No one was injured.
