14th annual Peak Pitch offers entrepreneurs a lift

Registration is open now for both investors and entrepreneurs wishing to take part in the 14th annual Peak Pitch by FreshTracks Capital.

The Shelburne-based venture capital firm will coordinate matching investors with business representatives at Sugarbush ski area on March 15.

At Peak Pitch, shared chairlift rides give entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch and tune their business plans with venture capitalists, individual investors, commercial lenders and other entrepreneurial advisors.

Peak Pitch combines business networking, fun on the slopes, and an opportunity for new business plans to get funded.

“Over the years, we have identified quite a few of our investments through our Peak Pitch event. It’s a great way for investors to see a number of different opportunities in a single day, and for entrepreneurs to connect with many potential investors,” said Cairn Cross, FreshTracks Capital’s founding partner. “Plus, we all get to ski and ride together, so it’s a great time for everyone.”

Founded in 2001, FreshTracks Capital is a Vermont-focused investment fund that uses venture capital to invest in Vermont-based companies. Its funds invested total more than $47 million, according to a company statement.

Space is limited so registration is required for both entrepreneurs and investors. To register visit online at eventbrite.com/e/peak-pitch-vermont-2018-sugarbush-tickets-42169487071?aff=es2.
