Two Hinesburg women face drug charges after Shelburne traffic stop on Webster Road

A traffic stop on Webster Road in Shelburne netted two drug-related arrests recently, Vermont State Police said.

Annette Sweeney, 48, of Hinesburg was driving when stopped for multiple motor vehicle violations at about 10:20 p.m. on April 23, according to State Trooper Brad Miller.

In a news release, Miller said Sweeney displayed signs of impairment and was eventually processed for driving while under the influence of drugs. He did not identify the drugs suspected in her case.

A passenger in the car, Samantha Emmons, 29 and also of Hinesburg, was found to be in possession of narcotics, police said.

Both were issued citations to appear in Vermont Superior Court in Burlington: Sweeney on June 28, Emmons on July 10.
