This first term has been an amazing learning experience for me. The work I was able to do on behalf of all my constituents in Shelburne and St. George was made easier by the contact I had with so many of you. I appreciate your emails, calls and coffee chats at Bruegger’s Bagel Bakery.

As all of you know, it has been a long and unusual six months; first with the session and then with five weeks of the special session. As soon as we adjourned, I needed to take care of personal issues because my mom is very ill at home in Rhode Island, and I have been there helping her and the family through her illness.

However, I do look forward to seeing you all this summer and fall when I campaign — I’ll be knocking on your doors and meeting with you as time allows. Over the next several months, I plan to highlight issues I worked on with my colleagues in Montpelier specifically in the House Government Operations Committee, and issues that are ahead of us for the next session.

Please know I am always available to hear from you; your experiences and thoughts are incredibly important to me; without them to guide my decision-making it is difficult to represent your interests, so do reach out.

The best way to contact me is by e-mail to Rep. Jessica Brumsted at jbrumsted@leg.state.vt.us . My cell phone number is 233-2120.

Rep. Jessica Brumsted, Democrat, represents Shelburne and St. George in the Vermont House.
