June 23
7:12 a.m. A caller reported a man sleeping on furniture outside the Lighting House store on Shelburne Road. An officer located the individual who stated that his identification was stolen in New York and he was trying get to his residence in Canada and was from China. U.S. Border Patrol was contacted and had no information on his entry to the country. The individual was detained and turned over to the border patrol. It was later learned the man was a naturalized citizen and was released.

8:55 a.m. Shelburne Rescue responded to a medical call on Bostwick Road and took a patient to the hospital.

9:33 a.m. Police did speed and traffic safety enforcement on Shelburne Road and Church Street during the Farmers Market.

10:26 a.m. A woman from Penny Lane came to the department and reported that her ex-husband threatened their daughter. Police notified Family Court and the Department for Children and Families. Family Court denied issuing an abuse prevention order and the case was referred to DCF for further investigation.

10:57 a.m. Police checked out a report that an individual was going through dumpsters at the Days Inn on Shelburne Road. Police located the man and issued a trespass notice.

1:07 p.m. An individual came into the department to report items stolen from their home at Shelburne Bay on Pine Haven Shores Road. Police took the report and are investigating.

3:32 p.m. Police took a fraud report from an individual who lives on Maplewood Drive.

4:28 p.m. Shelburne Police assisted South Burlington Police at motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Hinesburg and Cheesefactory Roads in South Burlington.

6:11 p.m. Police checked out a report called in about a man acting strange and hanging out on Shelburne Road but they were unable to locate anyone matching the caller’s description.

9:56 p.m. Shelburne Rescue and Police were dispatched to a medical emergency at Harbor Place on Shelburne Road and they transported a patient to the hospital.

June 24
3:45 a.m. Shelburne Police assisted South Burlington Police responding to a panic alarm on Shelburne Road.

9:06 a.m. Police went to the intersection of Pond Road and Dorset Street where cows were in the road and notified the owner to return the animals.

2:14 p.m. Shelburne Rescue, Fire and Police were dispatched to a medical emergency called in from Cedar Ridge Drive and took a patient to the hospital.

2:21 p.m. Police returned to Dorset Street and Pond Road for cows out in the road again. They located the animals and contacted the owner to return them.

2:34 p.m. Police tracked down a stray dog at Falls Road and Fischer Place and reunited the animal with its owner.

4:05 p.m. Police took a vandalism report from a caller on Pond Road who said his fence was vandalized. The case is pending further leads.

6:35 p.m. Police took a vandalism report from an individual on Oak Hill Road who said their vehicle was vandalized. This is also pending further leads.

7:29 p.m. On patrol, an officer located an unsecured business on Shelburne Road. Officers searched and secured the building.

8:25 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Shelburne Road. Police located the vehicle and no one was with it.

9:12 p.m. Shelburne Rescue and Police were dispatched to a medical emergency at Shelburne Bay on Pine Haven Shores Road and transported the patient to the hospital.

11:09 p.m. Shelburne Police assisted South Burlington Police with attempting to locate a runaway juvenile on Pinehurst Lane but they did not locate the youngster.

June 25
7:37 a.m. Police received a call about cows out in the road at Pond Road and Dorset Street, but when an officer checked the area, no animals were found in the road.

8:45 a.m. A caller reported an erratic motorist near Barstow Road and Spear Street. An officer was dispatched to the area but was unable to find the vehicle.

12:50 p.m. Shelburne Rescue assisted Hinesburg First Response at a medical call on Vermont Route 116 in Hinesburg. The patient refused transport to the hospital.

2:44 p.m. Police notified animal control after receiving a call from an individual who reported multiple dogs off leash that charged at her on Bay Road at the Moorings marina.

4:34 p.m. Police took a report at a two-car accident at the intersection of Pond Road and Pond Access Road. There were no injuries.

8:20 p.m. Police assisted in mediating a dispute between a man and woman on Shelburne Road at Toad Lane.

June 26
9:38 a.m. Shelburne Rescue and Police were dispatched to a medical emergency at School Street and Harbor Road and took a patient to the hospital.

6:30 p.m. An individual dropped off a wallet at the police station found at Shelburne Shopping Park. Police returned it to the owner.

June 27
2:49 a.m. A caller on Maple Leaf Lane reported hearing someone outside her residence, but when an officer arrived to check the area, he was unable to locate anyone.

3:13 a.m. Shelburne Police, Fire and Rescue, along with Charlotte Fire, Hinesburg Fire and First Response all responded to a one-car accident on Vermont 116. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

6:59 a.m. Shelburne Fire and Rescue were dispatched to Almartin Volvo on Executive Drive where someone reported a strong smell in the building. A fire hazard was removed.

12:46 p.m. Police took a report for insurance purposes only from a one-car accident on Bay Road near the underpass; no one was injured.

4:01 p.m. Police mediated a dispute between neighbors on Nashville Road.

9:20 p.m. A caller reported debris in the road at Webster and Shelburne Roads. When police arrived, they found a truck on the side of the roadway and the driver securing lumber on the truck. The road was clear.

June 28
8:48 a.m. Rescue was dispatched to a medical emergency on Covington Lane and took a patient to the hospital.

12:08 p.m. Police were called to do a welfare check on an individual at the North Star Motel on Shelburne Road. Police located the person, who appeared to be fine.

12:27 p.m. Police checked an accidental 911 hang-up from Wright House on Harrington Avenue.

4:53 p.m. Shelburne Police assisted the Chittenden state’s attorney with serving paperwork to an individual on Spear Street.

5:27 p.m. Shelburne Rescue was dispatched to a medical emergency at Wake Robin and took a patient to the hospital.

5:38 p.m. Police took an accident report from a two-car crash on Wake Robin Drive for insurance purposes; no one was injured.

6:34 p.m. Police and Rescue responded to a medical emergency at Wright House on Harrington Avenue and took a patient to the hospital.

7:19 p.m. A caller asked police to check on an elderly man riding a bicycle in the area of Champlain Drive. Police located the individual who was fine.

10:55 p.m. Police were called about a dog running loose on Wake Robin Drive. They caught up with the animal and reunited it with the owner.

June 29
1:42 a.m. Rescue was dispatched to a medical emergency at the Terraces and took a patient to the hospital.

3:21 a.m. Police assisted South Burlington Police with a citizen dispute on Shelburne Road.

11:35 a.m. Police located a stray dog near Kwiniaska on Spear Street and reunited it with the owner.

2:51 p.m. Police were asked to do check on an individual at North Star Motel on Shelburne Road. They did and the appeared to be fine.

7:10 p.m. Shelburne Rescue went to Shelburne Bay on Pine Haven Shores Road for a medical emergency and took a patient to the hospital.

9:54 p.m. Shelburne and Hinesburg Police responded when a caller reported having a dispute with his wife on the side of the road on Hinesburg Road. Police helped mediate the situation and the man agreed to stay someplace other than home for the night.

June 30
12:48 a.m. Police mediated an argument between a man and a woman in a home on Harbor Road.

1:41 a.m. Police conducted a background check for a new employee.

3:48 a.m. Police helped South Burlington Police with a domestic disturbance on Spear Street.

4:28 a.m. Rescue and Police transported an individual from Harbor Place to the hospital for a medical emergency.

9:00 a.m. Police assisted Hinesburg Police at the Hinesburg’s Independence Day events.

10:05 a.m. Rescue and Police transported an individual from Bostwick Road to the hospital for a medical emergency.

10:11 a.m. Shelburne Police assisted Charlotte Fire at a brush fire near the Greenbush Road underpass.

1:20 p.m. Shelburne Fire and Rescue assisted Charlotte Fire and Rescue with a water rescue call on Lake Champlain in Charlotte. No injuries were reported.

1:31  p.m. Police took a statement for a two-car crash on Nashville Road.

5:47 p.m. Shelburne Fire, Rescue and Police responded to a false fire alarm on Hawley Road.

7:49 p.m. Rescue and Police transported an individual from Shelburne Road to the hospital for a medical emergency.
