Information on all fall programs is now available online at shelburnevt.org/160/Parks-Recreation. Upcoming adult programs include men’s basketball, volleyball, table tennis, early morning boot camp, gentle yoga, sun tai chi-basic, sun 73 tai chi. Fall youth programs include Young Rembrandts, tennis lessons, after school fitness program.

Kindergarten soccer Mini-Mites: A fun, instructional soccer program that introduces kindergarteners to basic soccer techniques. Curriculum includes fun ball-mastery activities, interactive fundamental technical training between players and exciting small-sided games. Boys and girls will be separated into different groups. Registration deadline is noon on Friday, Sept. 7. The program meets Saturdays, Sept. 8 through Oct. 13, 10-11 a.m. at the Shelburne Community School fields. No session Oct. 6. Fee: $30 (includes t-shirt and team picture). GPS Vermont staff will supervise the program with help from parent volunteers which helps keep the fee low.

GPS Juniors soccer: This program is designed especially for preschool players 3-5 years old who enjoy running around and kicking a ball. Emphasizing fun, the program will include age-appropriate games to teach basic skills without putting pressure on winning or competition. Players learn to work cooperatively with others in a great first experience. Registration deadline is noon on Friday, Sept. 7. The program meets Saturdays Sept. 8 through Oct. 13, at 9-9:45 a.m. at the Shelburne Community School fields. No session Oct. 6. Fee: $70.

Discounted Great Escape tickets: For sale at the Recreation office until Aug. 31. Tickets are $40 each compared with the regular gate price of $62 for adults and $47 for youngsters. Discounted parking passes are $18 compared with $20 at the park.
