The Shelburne Volunteer Fire Department is getting ready for its annual pancake breakfast fundraiser set for Oct. 13.
Fire Chief Jerry Ouimet said the usual breakfast is planned, with pancakes and sausage, but the location will be changed. Firefighters will cook and serve at Shelburne Community School cafeteria from 7:30 to 11 a.m.
Construction at the library adjacent the fire station will make difficult to host at the fire station, Ouimet explained.
The date coincides with the Newbury Cup youth soccer event which brings many people to the playing fields in village.
This is the fire department’s main annual fundraiser with all proceeds going to the Shelburne Firefighter’s Association, Ouimet said.
The cost is $4 for children 12 and under, $8 for adults. Children under 4 eat for free.
