Former Lt. Gov. Brian Dubie backs Don Turner for the job

To the Editor:

The office of lieutenant governor provides an opportunity to build bridges and close partisan divides. Don Turner has demonstrated in the legislature that he treats all people fairly and with respect. Don Turner will make a great lieutenant governor for the people of Vermont. Don Turner has the skills, experience and temperament to make an outstanding lieutenant governor.

As a state representative, town manager, house minority leader, and first responder, Don knows what it’s like to build and inspire a team to serve others. Don has a proven track record of working across the aisle to get the job done. Don works well with people from different backgrounds and perspectives. Don Turner will bring the necessary experience, attitude, and vision to be an effective lieutenant governor of Vermont.

Don has been and will continue to be a strong voice addressing our state’s affordability crisis. Don will continue to speak out for sustainable spending and against out-of-control taxes. Don has been an effective voice for prudence and responsibility.

I ask all Vermonters to join me in supporting Don Turner for lieutenant governor on Nov. 6.
