Shelburne woman charged with DUI in Charlotte

Vermont State Police charged a Shelburne woman with Driving Under the Influence after finding her in her vehicle in a neighborhood in Charlotte on Dec. 11.

Police were called just after 6 p.m. to Big Dock Court in Charlotte where a vehicle was reported partially in the roadway with its driver appearing to be confused.

According to a state police press release by Trooper Justin Wagner, the driver of the vehicle was 51-year-old Susan Moegenburg of Shelburne. She was alone in the vehicle when state police arrived.

Police said she was under the influence of alcohol. Police took Moegenburg to the Williston barracks where she was later released with a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court on Dec. 27 to answer to the charge of DUI first offense.
