  • Elsa Hollyer of Shelburne graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Ore. in 2018.
  • Nathan Gamble of Shelburne, a sophomore member of the men’s cross-country team at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn., was named to the 2018 NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team. Student athletes on the team have reached sophomore academic standing, are varsity letter-winners and have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.50. The New England Small College Athletic Conference is a group of 11 liberal arts colleges and universities including Middlebury College.
  • Alanna Pinard-Brace of Shelburne who is studying music education at SUNY Potsdam was named to the President’s List for the fall 2018 semester. Students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for the honor.
  • Greer Storey of Shelburne was named to the fall Dean’s List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List.
  • The following University of Vermont students from Shelburne were named to the fall semester Dean’s List: Shay Brunvand, Erin Bundock, Sienna Devoe-Talluto, Anna Georgsdottir, Emma Hoechner, Natalie Jaffe, Lydia Maitland, Calvin McClellan, Samuel McClellan, Richard McClintock, Matthew O’Donnell, Elizabeth O’Donnell, Matthew Palmer, Kathryn Sammut, Nicole Sampson, Isabelle Schmitt, Harken Spillane and Scott Stanley.

To be named to the Dean’s List, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

  • Bailee Pudvar of Shelburne, an International Business major in the class of 2020 at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H., was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester. To be eligible for this honor, a student must have achieved a grade point average of 3.2 or better.
  • Emma Ramirez-Richer of Shelburne, a freshman at Middlebury College, completed her first semester with a designation of College Scholar based on her academic performance. She was also selected as a member of the Middlebury College Ski Patrol at the Snow Bowl.
  • Megan Folsom of Shelburne was recently named to the Castleton University Dean’s List for the fall 2018 semester. Students who qualify for this academic honor must maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better.
  • Joshua Williams of Shelburne was among the 65 students who graduated this fall from Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center. Williams received a bachelor of science degree in Computer Information Technology. Williams also was named to the 2018 fall semester Dean’s List for having a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
  • Andrew Jaffe of Shelburne, who is studying Computer Software Engineering Technology at Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center, was named to the fall 2018 Dean’s List. Students on the list have earned a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
  • Emily Gagnon of Shelburne was named to Southern New Hampshire University’s fall 2018 President’s List. Students earn that honor with a grade point average of 3.7 or better. SNHU is in Manchester, N.H.
  • Charles Edward Maitland of Shelburne, has been named a Presidential Scholar for the fall 2018 semester at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y. He is an engineering and management major. Students must achieve a minimum 3.8 grade point average to earn this honor.
  • Bailey Bouchard of Shelburne, was named to the Emerson College Dean’s List for fall 2018. Bouchard, who is majoring in political communication, is a member of the class of 2019. The requirement to make Emerson’s Dean’s List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.
  • Sophie Ireland of Shelburnewas named to the Dean’s List for the 2018 fall semester at the University of New England in Maine. Dean’s List students have attained a grade point average of 3.3 or better.
