Jaime Heins will have my support on March 5. As an elected member of the selectboard, and an appointed member before that, Jaime has welcomed community members’ input in selectboard proceedings, encouraged the participation of new voices, and worked collaboratively with other board members. He promotes a thoughtful, inclusive and transparent public process that is helping residents feel confident in their local government.
The selectboard is seeing the town through major projects that require setting priorities and balancing taxpayer costs with public benefits – completion of the library/Town Center project, development of a utility to offset stormwater liabilities, financing for a new bridge on Bay Road, among others. I believe Jamie will ask the right questions, gather and examine the data, and understand and use them to make informed decisions that serve the town’s interests.
Let’s re-elect him for another term.
