Shotokan karate

​For adults and kids ages 8 and up. Improve your fitness level, challenge yourself and have fun. Karate is a weaponless means of self-defense, consisting of dynamic offensive and defensive techniques, using all parts of the body to their maximum advantage. This program will help students develop physical skills such as eye-hand coordination, mental focus, leadership and partnership skills while building self-confidence and character through basic Shotokan karate techniques. (Fee does not include required uniform.) Classes are held on Thursdays, 6:30-8 p.m. for $40/session in the Town Center Gym. The next session will run from March 7 through April 11 (no class March 21, make up class March 26). Registration deadline is March 4th.

Gentle yoga class

Join Kay Boyce, certified yoga instructor, for this gentle yoga class, with attention to correct alignment, breath work, and stretches. You will build strength, tone muscle and find new flexibility. This class is great for those new to yoga, or who simply want to enhance their personal yoga practice. Bring your own yoga mat and a cotton blanket or large beach towel.
This session will run from March 14 – April 18 from 9 – 10 a.m. at the Shelburne Town Activity Room. Class fee is $55.

Safe Sitter babysitting course

​Safe Sitter® prepares teens in grades 6th-8th to be safe when they’re home alone, watching siblings or babysitting. The course offers four main content areas: safety skills, child care skills, first aid and rescue skills,  life and business skills. Lessons are filled with fun activities and role-playing exercises. Teens will practice choking rescue and diapering. Register for one date that works best for your child. This class will in instructed by Kacey Greene, Williston recreation  program coordinator. Classes will be held from 9 3 p.m. at the following dates in the following towns. The program cost is $60 Resident/$65.00 Non-Resident.

Williston – Thursday, Feb. 28
Hinesburg – Thursday, April 25
Shelburne – Friday, March 22
Charlotte – Saturday, May 18

*Please register with the town offering the program on your preferred date.

Little League Baseball and Softball

Register now for spring baseball and softball programs. New this year, all registrations must be submitted online, with a choice of payment by credit card online or mailing in a check. Register for spring Youth Lacrosse, deadline March 13

This program is offered to Shelburne kids in grades K-8.  The registration deadline for grades 3 – 8  is March 13! Grades K -2 registration is open until April 5. See our website for complete program details, fees, and requirements.
