Four Champlain Valley Union High School seniors got a chance to hit the basketball court one more time after the season ended this year.

The Redhawks played in the Vermont Basketball Coaches Association’s annual senior all-star games on March 23, with Cole Otley playing for the North in the boys game and Kaylee Beyor, Megan Gilwee and Harper Mead playing in the girls game.

In the girls game, the South prevailed over the North, 84-70, in the Division I-II game. Gilwee helped her North squad with 10 points, while St. Johnsbury’s Sadie Stetson led the way for the South with 14 points.

In the boys game, Otley’s North team won over the South, 118-89, in the Division I-II game.

The VBCA also named the Dream Dozen – the top underclassmen across the state – with Makenna Boyd and Catherine Gilwee both earning nods on the girls side.

Ethan Harvey also earned Dream Dozen honors for the Redhawks.
