Jan. 5
12:36 a.m. Police were called to Shelburne Road to check out a report of an injured fox in the road but they were unable to locate the animal.
6:03 a.m. Police went to a home Hawley Road where a neighbor reported the home’s garage door open but the owners were supposed to be away. Police checked the premises, closed the door, and notified the homeowner.
4:48 p.m. Police did a welfare check on an individual on Harbor Road after a call from a concerned relative. The person was fine.
7:35 p.m. Police went to a closed business on Shelburne Road to check out a report of a suspicious vehicle. It was not there when police arrived.
11:28 p.m. Police assisted a resident locked out of their home on Spinnaker Lane.
11:53 p.m. At a traffic stop on Shelburne Road in South Burlington, police stopped James Butler, age 60 of Burlington. Butler was taken to the station and released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, to answer to the charge of Driving Under the Influence.

Jan. 6
12:05 p.m. Police went to a vacant building on Shelburne Road that a caller said had an open door. Police checked the interior and secured the building.
4:47 p.m. Police took a report from an individual on Brentwood Drive who said they had been threatened.
6:06 p.m. Police, fire and rescue responded to a one-car crash on Vermont Route 116. A vehicle driven by John Poro, age 54 of Richmond, had hit a tree. Poro was wearing a seatbelt and had to be extricated from the vehicle. Rescue took him to UVM Medical Center by Shelburne Rescue. Police said neither speed nor alcohol was involved.
8:48 p.m. Police went to a business on Shelburne Road where a burglar alarm was activated. Upon arrival, officers found an unlocked door and fresh snow inside. A search involving a Burlington Police K9 officer found no one inside the building.

Jan. 7
9:31 a.m. Police were called to the Days Inn on Shelburne Road where a man and woman were reportedly being hostile towards employees. Police escorted the individuals from the property.
3:46 p.m. Police were called to a minor car crash on Shelburne Road. The drivers chose to exchange information on their own without further police involvement.
7:27 p.m. Police were called to Kinney Drugs on Executive Drive for a reported theft. The suspect had left the store by the time police arrived, but was later found. Misty Nadeau, age 39 of Colchester, was cited to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, to answer to the charge of Retail Theft.
10:08 p.m. Police mediated a dispute between neighbors on Shelburne Road.

Jan. 8
2:40 a.m. Police checked out a report of a suspicious woman near the Days Inn on Shelburne Road. The woman was located and found to be intoxicated. She was taken to detox.
12:53 p.m. Charlotte Fire requested a driver safety check for a new rescue member.
4:05 p.m. Police returned found property to an individual on Olde Orchard lane.
6:46 p.m. Police received a report of an attempted commercial burglary on Shelburne Road. Police found no sign of entry. Investigation is continuing.

Jan. 9
9 a.m. Police were called to Falls Road for a minor two-car crash. They took statements and filed a state crash report. No one was injured.
11:24 a.m. Shelburne Rescue was dispatched to a medical emergency at Shelburne Bay on Pine Haven Shores Road. One individual was taken to UVM Medical Center.
1:14 p.m. Police checked on a report of a death at a residence on Bay Road. Police investigated and notified the medical examiner’s office. The death was not considered suspicious.
2:37 p.m. Animal control was notified about a stray dog on Yacht Haven Drive.
8:43 p.m. Police and Rescue responded to a medical emergency at Shelburne Bay on Pine Haven Shores Road. One patient was taken to UVM Medical Center.
8:52 p.m. An individual on Harbor Road reported a dispute with a co-worker. Police spoke with all involved to resolve the situation.

Jan. 10
4:01 a.m. Police checked on a vehicle at the Shelburne Pond Access on Pond Road. The driver, Holt Manchester, age 45 of Shelburne, was taken to the station and cited to appear in court to answer to the charge of Driving Under the Influence.
11:41 p.m. Police stopped a tractor-trailer on Shelburne Road for a traffic violation and did a commercial vehicle inspection. The driver was placed out of service.

Jan. 11
6:45 a.m. Police were called to Irish Hill Road where an unoccupied vehicle was partially in the road. The vehicle was disabled and police assisted until it was moved.
11:36 a.m. Police delivered paperwork from the Grand Isle County State’s Attorney’s Office to an individual at the Arbors on Harbor Road.
12:31 p.m. Police did a new-employee background check for New York State Police.
12:49 p.m. Police mediated a dispute between a caller and management at the North Start Motel on Shelburne Road.
