Last call for fall soccer registration May 31

Sign up in May before the price goes up. The Shelburne Recreation Soccer league is for students entering grades first-sixth in fall 2019. ​Register by May 31 and pay $30. Registration fee after May 31 is $55. Registrations received after Friday, Aug. 9, will be placed on a wait list. A uniform shirt is required. ​Be sure to order a uniform shirt when registering if your child does not already have one from last year. Uniform fee is $25. Volunteer Coaches are needed. This program is run by volunteer coaches and we need your help. Please fill out the volunteer section on the registration form. We will provide training for coaches and referees.

Shelburne Beach Passes available June 17

The 2019 Season Pass cost is $25 for first car, $5 per additional car in a household. Seniors ages 60+ are $5 per car for a season pass. Beach passes can also be purchased at the Recreation Office starting May 28. See our website for more information about Shelburne Beach. Must be a Shelburne resident to purchase a season pass.

Girls on the Run camp

This camp combines the best of Girls on the Run (GOTR) with all the fun of camp. During each weeklong session, third–fifth grade girls will build friendships in a fun and inclusive setting that includes interactive games, being physically active and expressing creativity through art and crafts and storytelling. Led by caring and qualified Girls on the Run coaches, Camp GOTR provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for girls to develop self-confidence, learn life skills they can use now and as they grow, and have fun with friends. A T-shirt, water bottle, camp bracelet and daily healthy snack are included. The camps will run from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. and are open to girls entering grades 3–5 in fall of 2019. Cost: $150/week (if you sign up for both weeks, the second week is $135).

Camp Dates: Girls Have Power – July 8-July 12; Girls Have Heart – July 15-July 19.

Baseball instruction camp

This week long camp will focus on fundamentals in all aspects of the game of baseball, including drills and activities to better their skills in hitting, fielding and pitching. Instructors Nick Elderton and Zac Poland are very knowledgeable about the sport of baseball and played four years of college baseball, and coached at both the middle school and high school levels the past years years. Camp dates are Aug. 12 – 16 for $175. Kids ages 9-11 years will be from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and kids ages 12-15 years will be from 1 – 4 p.m. The registration deadline is July 22 or when camp is full.

Junior Lacrosse Camp

Grab your stick and get ready for a fun week of lacrosse! Participants will practice their basic stick skills and learn about game strategy. Fun games will be utilized to reinforce skills that have been taught. Beginners are welcome. Water bottles and mini-sticks are required. We have a limited amount of loaner sticks available if needed. Camp will be held from June 24 – 28 from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. for kids entering first-fourth grade in Fall 2019. Camp fee is $12 with Camp ​Director Andrew Everett.
