A panel discussion will share news about Shelburne’s businesses on the local and international stage as Shelburne Business and Professional Association hosts a meeting for members, prospective members and curious members of the community on Monday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be in the Community Room of the newly re-opened Pierson Public Library.
Speakers will include Jamie Heins, who will provide a recap of the recent Economic Development Summit and update the audience on how the select board is thinking about next steps and big picture goals in terms of Shelburne’s economic development initiative. Heins will also discuss how the select board can partner with the Association and member businesses to help execute those goals.
Also speaking will be Pierson Library Director Kevin Unrath, describing the role of the library as a convenient and welcoming site for the community to meet and share ideas and plans. Vermont Teddy Bear Marketing Coordinator Samantha Jackman recently shared the Vermont booth at the International Trade & Travel show in Montreal. On the international level, she will report on introducing the crowd to our town and distributing our Welcome to Shelburne brochures.
There will be time for questions and discussion with the panelists, and the meeting will also include reports on some exciting changes for Shelburne Farmers Market, founded and managed by the Association since 2006, and plans for making the Association ever more beneficial to the town and the business community.
