Fashion Underground: a full-on fashion event presented by designer James Neiley
On Saturday March 13, the Champlain Valley Union gymnasium will open its doors to a unique and dramatic fashion show.
"It's a performance," says James Neiley, "the show isn't just about the clothes. Fashion Underground is about experiencing fashion as a medium of communication and an art form. It's all about inspiration."
The designer and stylist, James Neiley, pulled pieces of clothing from local consignment stores and various community members to compose a cohesive collection. He also designed a fall preview collection with original looks.
"The collection is very edgy. I had fun playing with masculinity, femininity, and character development through fashion."
The doors will open at 7 p.m. There will be many local artists showing their work in a gallery-walk style and mingling time by 7:30. Admittance is $10, and all proceeds are donated to the Krang Baing Village Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Cambodian villages in need.
