Tucker-Ketchum paints cow at SAC to benefit the Campaign to End Childhood Hunger

Wed, Mar 10th 2010 03:00 pm

In partnership with the Lake Champlain Chamber of Commerce and the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger, the Shelburne Art Center will host Burlington painter Sage Tucker-Ketchum and the (fiberglass) cow in the Drawing Room Gallery at the Shelburne Art Center (SAC) on Harbor Road on Tuesday March 16 and Thursday March 18. Sage Tucker-Ketchum will be painting the fiberglass cow - live - from 1-5 p.m. Watch her techniques as she adds her signature lyrical lines, bold colors, and detailed patterns and textures to this three-dimensional canvas, which will be put on display on the Town green from May 10-Oct. 11.

Refreshments will be served at SAC and there will be a hands-on project for small children. Don't miss this unique free event and an opportunity to show your support for arts. For more information, please call SAC at 985-3648.

This summer several painted cows will be on display throughout the area. They will be auctioned online in October and November to benefit the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger.
