Pet Food Warehouse (PFW) is a locally owned business with two locations: one in South Burlington and one in Shelburne. PFW carries everything for your pet needs, from healthy pet food to toys, grooming supplies to crates, and accessories such as leashes, collars, and beds.

One of PFW's many standout qualities is its customer service. The well-trained sales staff makes recommendations to customers based on extensive product training, experience, customer feedback, and an individualized approach to pet care. Several PFW employees have worked for the company for many years and they know their pets.

"I love working here, it feels like family," said Shelburne store Manager Annaliese Hasse, who has worked for PFW for three years, and has been a manager since September of 2009.

The high caliber of workforce is equal to the high quality of food products. Hasse explained that the company purchases several Natura pet food products. This product is highly recognized because of its high quality ingredients and because it is family-owned.

Another key to PFW's business' success is stated in its mission, which stresses caring for the area's pet population. The business motto is, "We care about your pets!"

Caring about pets does not only refer to PFW's customers, but includes the community of pets at large.

The company regularly donates food and accessories to local humane societies, animal rescue groups, and it actively supports animal welfare organizations through numerous fund-raising events and donations.

Jonathan Lash opened PFW in 1983 and the company grew from relatively small beginnings to become the premier pet food and supply store in the Burlington area. After Jonathan passed away in 1995, his wife Kim took the reins as company president and today she leads the operation. With more than 40 employees and a wholesale distribution division, PFW continues to provide cutting-edge products and superior knowledge to enrich the lives of the pets in our community.

Hasse sums up PFW's winning point of view in a few simple words, "We love it when pets come in the store."
