Dr. Wendell Scott Williams, DDS

Dr. Wendell Scott Williams, DDS, passed away on March 10, 2010 following a long struggle with cancer. Among his survivors are his wife, Dr. Kathleen Garvey Williams and their three children, Brandon, Kathleen, and Claire, all of Metairie, La.; his parents, Dr. Ronald W. and Mrs. Virginia H. Williams of Northport, Ala. Dr. Williams was born in Ames, Iowa and grew up in Shelburne, Vt. After graduation from Champlain Valley Union High School, he attended the University of Vermont where he received a bachelor of science in civil engineering in 1987, prior to attending the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry, where he received the degree doctor of dental surgery in 2002. Upon graduation he served a two-year residency at the Charity Hospital in New Orleans before joining the Louisiana Dental Center in Covington and Slidell, La., where he practiced until Dec. 2009.
