Wed, Mar 17th 2010 12:45 pm

Wind Ridge Publishing Inc. has introduced the new community Web site for Shelburne: www.shelburnenews.com. This fresh and exciting Web site is one of the many ways in which Wind Ridge Publishing is dedicated to bringing Shelburne residents vital community news. Now the community can visit the new Web site (www.shelburnenews.com), in addition to Shelburne News' Facebook fan page, Twitter, and the weekly print edition of the newspaper to find up-to-date information on Town, school, sports, arts, business, and community events and activities.

"The Web site is the bulletin board for the community," said Social Media and Web Director for Wind Ridge Publishing Inc. Nancy Warren.

Warren went on to say that she is looking for Shelburne bloggers and community input on the Web site. It will bring school, Town, and other community information together in one place and make it a welcoming format for residents and visitors.

Warren put it this way, "We want to be the one-stop resource for the Shelburne community."

One of the tools on the new Web site is the ability to search the current archives of the Shelburne News easily and find specific stories that were printed in the paper.

"Our new Web site offers several more opportunities than it did in the past," said Warren.

She explained that the new Web site breaks down the issues of Shelburne News into specific categories. This makes it easier for users to find particular articles of interest, such as home and garden, health and fitness, sports, or other special sections.

Warren has been working on the Web site for the past four months and said that it is a work in progress. Community members will be able to submit photos and letters via the Web site. "Community involvement is an important aspect of this Web site," said Warren.
