Governor Douglas recently announced the appointments of two Shelburne residents to the Board of Medical Practice. This is a re-appointment for David Clauss, who has been on the board since 2002, and a new appointment for Robert Hayward. They are two of six Vermont members to this board. Essentially the responsibilities of the board are to investigate all complaints of unprofessional conduct of any holder of a license, to be involved in the investigation and hearings of complaints, and to require an applicant or licensee to submit to evaluations as seen fit and to a hearing of the board.
