Each year the Shelburne Police Department recognizes individual contributions in carrying out traffic safety initiatives. Officer Bruce Beuerlein won two awards: "Commitment to Safer Highways through Impaired Driver Enforcement Efforts," and "Committment to Safer Highways through Speed Enforcement Efforts." This is the fourth year in a row that Officer Beuerlein has been recognized for his outstanding work in both areas. Officer Beuerlein was issued certificates, and his name will be engraved on two plaques that hang on the walls of the Shelburne Police Department.
