The landscaped pond, located just outside of the Town Center, has been a labor of love. The site has been designed and maintained by the Shelburne Charlotte Garden Club, along with the Town Building and Grounds Committee. This Friday, the pond will be the site of a special event, as the entire eighth grade class from SCS will be on hand to pay tribute to retiring SCS Middle School Principal John Bossange. The class, along with Shelburne Charlotte Garden Club, will present Bossange with a birdhouse that will be installed near the pond in recognition of the many years Bossange has supported efforts of the club. The public is invited to attend the event starting at 1:15 p.m., as students work to clean the liner of the pond, replace rocks, and mulch the area. The presentation of the birdhouse to Bossange is scheduled to take place at 1:30 p.m.
