Introducing Connor Gobeille

Connor Gobeille is one of the Shelburne News interns for this semester. He is an eighth grade student on the Holden House team at SCS.
A self-proclaimed "average" person, 13-year-old Connor Gobeille is in the student council at the Shelburne Community School and played in the school basketball b-team last winter.
Home and family: Connor was born in Vermont. He moved to New York for a little bit, then moved back to Vermont and began attending the Shelburne Community School when he was five.
Connor is the youngest in the family. He has two sisters, Erika and Mikaela Gobeille. Erika is going to be a college freshman next year. His parents are his father, Al, and his mother, Kim. Al is on the Shelburne Selectboard, while Kim manages the family's three businesses, all of them are restaurants, such as Shanty on the Shore, Burlington Bay, and Breakwaters.
Connor has two dogs, an English mastiff, named Bear, and another dog that is either a sheltie or a collie, named Copper.
Hobbies: Connor likes to swim, and has enjoyed it since he was two, "but not as a sport." His other favorite sport is football, which he played since the fifth grade.
Favorite food: "My favorite food is deviled eggs." Connor says. He likes "the middle."
Favorite subject: "My favorite subject is recess."
Fantasy destination: "Definitely New Zealand; I always wanted to visit there."
In the future: "I picture myself as either a person in the army, or a person who has been in the army. I just have a motive to do it." His father and grandfather worked in the armed forces.
